The museum is pleased to present an intimate after-hours performance by percussion group arx duo that combines the rhythms of great music with the spare beauty of Minimalist art. Set in gallery L4, arx duo—performers Mari Yoshinaga, Garrett Arney and special guest Noah Geller, Kansas City Symphony concertmaster and holder of the Miller Nichols Chair—present a selection of music by Steve Reich, Arvo Pärt, and more living composers to complement the purity of form, color and concept on view.

Tickets are limited for this exclusive engagement. Ticket holders will be escorted and should enter through Bloch Lobby beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Curtis Summerfest -Percussion Program


arx duo will be working closely with the students for 3 weeks. Activity will include chamber music, private lessons, orchestra concerts, working with composers, and seminar/lectures. Also, the program has choir and theory classes every morning. Join us for a fun and creative summer at Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia!
